Sky 100 Hong Kong Observation Deck

dominating the skyline of Hong Kong

Hong Kong has fast become a popular metropolitan city displaying a spectacular skyline and boasting of a natural harbour that is deep enough to accommodate the many shipping endeavours undertaken by the city. Also available is a range of well equipped accommodation options for travellers to stay at and those wanting a Wan Chai hotel Hong Kong can consider residing at Cosmopolitan Hotel Hong Kong.

The densely populated city is an important financial capital. However due to the constraints in space the imposing buildings towering above the city became a necessity rather than a fashion statement.

The International Commerce Centre is the tallest building in Hong Kong featuring 118 floors standing at 490 meters tall. The 100th floor is home to the sky 100 – the indoor observation deck from which the view will truly take your breath away. Despite the many observation decks in the city, the Sky100 is the only one of its kind to offer a 360 degree view of the city. The result is mesmerising.

Different times of the day will afford different views and experiences. Getting to the observation deck too is an adventure in itself as the unique double deck elevator takes only 60 seconds to shoot up from the second floor to the one hundredth floor.

Designed and constructed by Sun Hung Kai Properties, the sky100 also features interactive multi media touch screen panels which offers tips, facts and itinerary planning help. The advanced telescopes offer a closer look at the breathtaking scenery and indicate significant landmarks. Clear days afford wonderful visibility and the entire Kowloon Peninsula, Harbour, and beyond can be seen.

The venue also displays a 3D Projection exhibition, a time tunnel, sunken model and 3D story theatre that brings to life the rich and wonderful history of Hong kong.

A gift centre and cafe are also offer. The venue has also become a popular choice for conferences and other corporate events as the stunning view offers the perfect backdrop for any event. Also a must see is the music and light play that takes place twice every night featuring the facade of the building.
