Buddhist Temples
Those looking to soak up some culture can visit the many Buddhist temples on the island. Amongst the most well-known is the Big Buddha Temple with a towering golden Buddha statue. Wat Plai Laem with its impressive statue of Guanyin and Wat Khunaram home to a mummified monk are some of the other noteworthy temples.

Island Excursions
Amongst the best things to do in Koh Samui is to embark on excursions to nearby islands. This includes a visit to the Ang Thong National Marine Park featuring more than 40 islands with pristine beaches, hidden lakes and enchanting waterfalls. You can also head to the islands of Koh Taen and Koh Nang Yuan, ideal for snorkelling.
