Kandooma Caves in Maldives

Unique experience at Kandooma Caves Maldives

The caves can be found around 50 meters from the reef corner of the Kandooma Island. Of a total of 4 caves lined up in a row, the first cave reaches a depth of 20 meters and has a hole in the roof at about 10 meters while the other cave reaches a depth of 16 metres. The second cave extends to a length of 70 meters where a curly overhand blocks most of the light from reaching inside. Therefore, a torch will be much useful here. Once you explore the depths of these caves, there are many marine species you will come across, such as giant morays, yellow sponges, sea fans and many more. If you continue exploring further through the channel, you’ll find two other caves which are home to groupers, squirrel fish, clown triggerfish, sweetlips, angel fish and green turtles!

Diving around the waters of the Maldives are an enriching and an amazing experience for expert divers as well as beginners. As the waters are teeming with a variety of beautiful marine life, you are bound to see something to leave you spell bounded, such as massive whale sharks, sea turtles or manta rays, along with the colourful corals, sharks and various fish of different sizes and it’s no wonder that Maldives is known to be the best location for diving!
